New Bike Racks at Parking Authority Garages

At today's press conference held at 2nd and Sansom, next to the Ritz East, the Philadelphia Parking Authority showed off a newly installed bicycle rack that they installed at several garages today in response to the Bicycle Coalition's call for more racks to alleviate Philadelphia's bicycle parking shortage.

Today's step by the Parking Authority to provide these new bike racks is great news and an outcome of the Bicycle Coalition's advocacy for more bike racks to be installed throughout the City at garages, commercial corridors, cultural and entertainment venues and office buildings. We tip our helmets to the Parking Authority for being the first agency out of the block in responding to the current bike parking shortage.
